David Reece, Jr is a well-regarded cinematographer who has exceeded me in his ability to light, lens, and position his vision for beauty. He is not only a tireless work-horse but a passionate artist. On set, he stuns with seemingly effortless intensity. I can only explain it with a comparison: Gene Kelly.
He sees the spark in humanity. But he also captures that spark; in a way you should have always seen it. Of course he does, he’s my brother.
